Consultant Preparation Course

This free event for Dukes’ Club members is aimed at senior colorectal trainees to provide advice on how to approach the end of training and transition to consultancy.

1 day course for colorectal trainees approaching end of training. This course will provide guidance and advice on:

• Transitioning towards consultancy
• Challenges and mentorship for the new consultant
• The application and interview process
• Job planning
• Setting up a new service
• Business planning
• Private practice

The day will include small group sessions for interview/presentation practice and tips.

Speakers will include new and seasoned colorectal consultants.

This course is FREE for all Dukes’/ACPGBI trainee members. A refundable deposit of £50 is needed to confirm your place and will be refunded on attendance. If you are unable to attend the meeting after the booking, refunds will be issued up to 14 days prior to the event. If there is non-attendance of the event the committee reserves the right to refuse reservation of future events.
