Nelya Melnitchouk, since coming to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, has excelled in three areas:
- She has set up our peritoneal malignancy program, created our research fellowship program and published significantly on science and social issues.
- She has partnered with other surgeons to survey, study and articulate the stresses of women in surgery.
- She has accomplished all this while being married to a cardiac surgeon and raising two boys. She is truly a champion as a clinician, researcher, mother and wife.
